Come stroll with us at the 4th Annual Walk for Wishes® through one of Lexington’s most historic landmarks, Keeneland Race Course. Enjoy this 2k walk, 5k run and Kid’s Fun Runs through Keeneland’s scenic 147 acres to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Lexington. The event begins and ends at Barn #2. The course is handicap accessible and suitable for participants of all ages!
The top three overall winners of the 5k run will be awarded. First through third place runners in the following categories will also be honored: 15 & Under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over and Wheelchair. All participants will also have an opportunity to fill a bag with special treats and coupons from area merchants and organizations. Register on line or by dropping the check-in form to New Balance Shop, 2305 Woodhill Drive or John’s Run/Walk Shop, 317 Ashland Avenue. PACKETS MAY BE PICKED UP ON RACE DAY OR AT THE NEW BALANCE SHOP ON SATURDAY: JUNE 13, 10 A.M.-2 P.M. CHECKS PAYABLE TO MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION®.
There will also be a Kid's Fun Run event to include three races in the following age brackets: 50-yard dash: Ages 3-5, 100-yard dash: Ages 6-7 and 100-yard dash: Ages 8-10.
